> Marco Küveler, one of Germany's top hairstylists asked us to develop the identity and the design of his first concept salon. We already developed the identity for one of his colleagues from the Wella family and held a couple of inspirational workshops around trends and salon design for Wella's top performers. So this field was familiar territory and we were well prepared.
> Clearly, we wanted to emphasize the "artists" name but also add some attitude and simplicity. The German word for style, "STIL" just had it all. Self-awareness, style and instant brand recognition. The fine, elegant yet modern appeal of the wordmark underline the professional approach of Marco Küveler and his team.
> As straight and bold as the name is the typeface we chose for the corporate design. A wide spacing provides a calm, luxurious and fashionable attitude that is accompanied by the classy color scheme consisting of a warm white and casts based on Farrow and Ball's French Gray and Drawing Room Blue, which we used for the interior. We have the business cards and vouchers printed on a heavy paper with a soft touch and refined the word mark by hot-foil embossing.
> Considering the client holds the title of a world champion in his field, a signet just seemed to be the adequate element to round off the design. To give the gift vouchers an even worthier appeal, we use the blank letter paper to fold it in and close it with a wax sealing.
> Not only did we do the branding and identity design for Marco Küveler's flagship hair salon, but we also developed the interior design in cooperation with our partner Ragnar Willer of OC EO Consult. The result is a modern, inviting, well-structured and airy environment with a calming, yet metropolitan attitude that rounds off the branding harmoniously.
